Inconspicuous at first glance
but look more closely
do you see the tab?
The small file to my immediate right
has important day-to-day paperwork
things I need close at hand
including my Secret Stash
You may be asking yourself at this point…
What is it? Booze, pills, something more sinister?
Oh, I assure you it’s something I crave almost daily
My Secret Stash
Why I am still in decent shape is beyond me!!!
Good genetics or fast metabolism…maybe both. LOL
Rocket science, NOT
It isn’t that difficult
“Shirt coffee”, Really?!!
Cup seam aligned with lid spout
Common sense now uncommon
Note: Just one of my pet peeves (of which there are many). Is it too much to expect people to THINK these days??
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know you don’t align the thick seam on the rim of the cup with the drinking spout of the lid.
New word for you: Sphinctosity – The degree or duration to which an individual has his/her head up their ass. Typically evaluated on a scale of 1 – 10, henceforth referred to as the Sphinctosity Scale.
(Casual) Business on the top, Party on the bottom.
I love casual Fridays. 😉
So here is the deal… I think one of the most healthy things a person can do is laugh. Laugh at themselves and other people. Laugh at the joy and the pain, at the good and the bad. Not take life so damn seriously all the time. Disabilities, race, religion, gender, etc. They can all be funny if not meant in a mean or hurtful way. Just people poking fun at life and it’s challenges. We all have them. So if you are offended by this, sucks to be you. Your insecurity is not my problem.
Lighten up and laugh a little because this is some funny shit.
Am I alone or do random words pop into your head too??
It keeps me awake at night. Words, Rhyme, Loss, Love, Regret and Joy. All the words that describe these continually bounce around in my mind. Like a load of socks in the drier. You know there are matching pairs in there someplace, but the sonsabitches just aren’t that easy to find at first glance. They are not all “rare” words. They are words that come to me for no apparent reason. Driving in the car and BAM… Picayune comes to mind and stays there until the next word pushes it out.
It’s like my mind is an aqueous sponge suffused with obstreperous verbiage. Tempestuously churning from the first moment of morning lucidity to the last second of cognition. It must be my parent’s “faul”. Dad is a devotee of words and Mom is a teacher. Nature vs. Nurture….. How about both. 🙂 Nothing special here, just a bunch of words that make me smile.
I could go on ad infinitum, but what’s the point??? They are simply words. It is up to us to ascribe meaning to them.
Question: Is thought dependent upon words or are words dependent upon thought? Is one possible without the other?
Ponder it folks….. In the end it is all superfluous, is it not?
